Potter fan, 13, passes exams as if by magic

A Hermione-alike 13-year-old genius schoolgirl with a “perfect score” IQ of 162 showed her promise after acing the Tiffin Girls’ School entrance exam.

Neha Ramu, 13, said she was so shocked at her score her mother could not believe it. Neha, who lives with her family in Old Post Office Walk, Surbiton, said she loved to unwind by swimming, watching TV, and reading. She is a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, especially the character Hermione. Her perfect IQ score ranks her among the top 1 per cent of the UK’s most intelligent people. Anyone with a score above 140 is considered to be a genius.

She said her parents, who are both opthalmologists, had inspired her. But although she wants to become a doctor, she said she preferred neurology. Her father, Muniraju Ramu, said they were very proud to hear about her IQ score. After moving to England from India aged just seven, she plans to make the move again in the future.
