Porsche crashes into Surbiton nail salon

A silver Porsche Boxter has crashed into a nail salon this morning.

The car smashed through the window of Emma’s Nails in Victoria Road, Surbiton, at about 7am. The driver had turned right into the road from Brighton Road, red watch crew manager Ian Meyer said. The reason for the crash is unknown, he added. An ambulance crew and a first responder car were sent by the London Ambulance Service, a spokeswoman said. One patient, with no visible injuries, was treated for shock but was not taken to hospital.

How on earth can you be going that fast there to totally lose control of a car? I hope there is a lengthy disqualification for this unless some unrelated reason is identified.

This happens all too often. I was driving arounf the Kingston one way system last night and there was a car fully turned over onto it's roof at the end of the Cromwell Road stretch. Even in a standard hatchback you'd have to be going some speed around that corner to do that.

Mmmm? A Boxster with a Chav plate,it sounds as if this must be a woman driver late for her nail upgrade.

I see the numberplate was 1 SFB.

Assuming this is execss speed / driver error, if the FB stands for "For Brains", I wonder what the 'S' stands for!
