Man hit by car after being 'robbed in what he thought was taxi'
A man from Surbiton was allegedly robbed of his watch and hit by a car in the same incident.
The incident is reported to have taken place in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 14) outside the Brave New World bar on Berrylands Road, Surbiton.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed aged in his 20s, was treated for injuries. He alleged he had been assaulted after getting into a vehicle he believed to be a minicab – he also reported that his watch had been stolen."
The man is thought to have ordered a taxi then got into what he thought was a cab before allegedly being robbed of his watch then hit by the same vehicle after trying to resist. There have been no arrests and enquiries into the incident continue.
