New feature film about Surbiton Station.
New feature film about Surbiton Station.
It is unclear how heavily Surbiton station features in the sixth Harry Potter film, but it is believed to represent Hogsmeade station, the closest train stop to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Keen fans of the station can even see a fleeting glance of it in the movie trailer.
According to filming reports from a Harry Potter fans’ website, Dumbledore was captured beckoning someone as a train rushes past and steam is blown in front of him.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince goes on general release today.

Saw Harry Potter a few days ago and can confirm it is Surbiton station (not any sort of weird wizardy station). Harry is just pootling about by train at the beginning of the film. It is clearly platform 4, with the Surbiton sign in a couple of shots.
Odd thing though the Cafe Chaud is in it too - with a huge interior makeover - it looks much bigger!
I expect Michael Jackson is in the background too...ooowwww
