A cyclist who went to the aid of a young woman calling for help is now recovering in hospital after a brutal assault by two men.
The victim, a man who's being kept under sedation due to the pain of his injuries, heard the woman's cry while cycling along Berrylands Road and asked her if she needed any help. At this point he was attacked by the two male occupants of the car, who then proceeded to chase the man along King Charles' Road until they caught up with him in Smith Street.
The two men are described as both being white with fair or brown hair and around 20 years old. The woman, also around 20, had straight blonde hair and the car was described as a dark saloon.
The police are also eager to talk to a group of six people who were nearby at the time of the attack, and ask that you call PC Peter Sullivan on 020 8247 5131 if you have any information.
