The source of last weeks strange lights over Surbiton have been revealed.
A couple from Ewell, were celebrating at Horton Park Golf and Country Club, after friends had renewed their wedding vows earlier in the day. Along with two other couples, they decided to buy 30 Chinese sky lanterns to let off at the celebrations.
These lanterns are lifted into the air by the heat of a candle and released to float up into the night sky.
Sagacious users of Surbiton.com had already come to this conclusion.
