Surbtion Festival: Grand Parade & Street Market

10am Opening Ceremony
The festival will by officially opened by his Worshipful The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor Shiraz Mirza. The ceremony takes place at the junction of St. Andrews Road and Victoria Road.

12 noon Grand Parade
Featuring a wide range of individuals and organisations marching down St Marks Hill and along Victoria Rd:

  • Marching Bands
  • Vintage Cars
  • Stilt Walkers
  • Magicians
  • Entertainers
  • Youth Groups
  • Jazz Band

10 am to 4 pm Street Market & Entertainment

  • Over 70 stalls
  • Arts & crafts, speciality
  • Foods, gift ideas, etc.
  • Clowns and jugglers
  • Punch and Judy
  • Fairground Organ
  • Face painting
  • Bouncy castle
  • Musicians

Nothing new then. I thought the Maple Road thing the other month was much more interesting.
Marching bands and morris dancers. Why don't they arrange a stage for some live bands?
