We have just moved to Surbiton and our daughter is almost 3, so we need to choose a primary school.
Does anyone have any advice or experiences they wish to share? The closest school to where we live is Christchurch. Is that a good school?
Thanks for any information.
The 2006 Thames Ditton Regatta takes place on Saturday 13th May on the River Thames opposite Hampton Court Palace.
The regatta was established in 1948 and is one of the first of a series of rowing regattas held each year. The event is always popular with athletes - attracting in excess of 250 entries every year, with competitors coming from far and wide, as well as the local community
A spectacle which unfolds throughout the day and ends in a series of exciting finals to determine the winners in each class, the races take places from 8:30am to 7.00pm and are rowed upstream along a buoyed course on the Thames Ditton side of the river, starting at Boyle Farm Island and finishing alongside the River Mole near to Hampton Court Bridge.
The regatta offers a truly splendid family day out by the river and spectators are welcomed throughout the day. A refreshment marquee, licensed bar and a beer tent can be found on the lawns in the Regatta Enclosure at the end of Aragon Avenue, just a short bus ride (514/515) from Thames Ditton Station.
Entry to the regatta enclosure is £5 per head or £15 per family, which includes a racing programme.
A list of crews who are taking part can be found at the event website at www.thamesdittonregatta.co.uk

BERRY, GEORGE and HUDSON were duly elected Councillors for Alexandra Ward:
Just weeks after achieving the highest council tax in London, Kingston’s Lib Dem Administration is advertising yet another high paid ‘policy’ job.
The past year has already seen a total increase of over 400 non school staff, yet the Lib Dems are advertising for a ‘Policy and Strategy Manager’ in Children’s Services to be paid between £46k and £51k. With on-costs included, the total cost to the Council Tax payer of this one backroom policy job will be £68k !
The Strategy and Performance section, to which this job is headed, already has 35 staff. However, there are also numerous policy posts throughout council departments, which, according to the Council’s personnel department, are untraceable !
