Those Crazy Lib Dems !

Just weeks after achieving the highest council tax in London, Kingston’s Lib Dem Administration is advertising yet another high paid ‘policy’ job.

The past year has already seen a total increase of over 400 non school staff, yet the Lib Dems are advertising for a ‘Policy and Strategy Manager’ in Children’s Services to be paid between £46k and £51k. With on-costs included, the total cost to the Council Tax payer of this one backroom policy job will be £68k !

The Strategy and Performance section, to which this job is headed, already has 35 staff. However, there are also numerous policy posts throughout council departments, which, according to the Council’s personnel department, are untraceable !

Hart's Boatyard houseboat residents to be evicted

County courts decide that the boatyard can legally evict tenants.

Judge Jenny Sally Williams regretfully agreed that the law needs changing to protect houseboat owners, but she had no choice but to allow the eviction.

Hart's Boatyard owner Ossie Stewart, 61, intends to evict the tenants, who formed the Friends of Boating Residents' Association FOBRA, and claim unpaid mooring fees which could total £70,000.

Mugging victim calls for better lighting in Victoria Park

Nighttime assault results in labrador death.

The mugging that took place on March 1st at around nine in the evening left Jonathan Greensted, 36 with a second tradegy. The pet labrador dog he was walking escaped into the road and was run over.

He's now calling for extra lighting to be installed in park in order to deter opportunist muggers, and has set up an online petition web site. Mr Greensted says, "I would like people living in the area to sign the online petition for lighting and CCTV in the park."

How long to Waterloo

How long are the fast trains taking to Waterloo now and can you get a seat between 8 and 9?

Thanks.

While I'm chatting, does Surbiton have any other forums less blighted by racist retards?

Driver fined for keeping out of the way

A King Charles Road resident is ticketed for helping emergency services.

Gerry England said he's been woken several times during the night to move his van for emergency vehicles, so thought it reasonable to park up on the kerb to make space. Kingston Council thought differently and has fined him nine tickets since January.
