We live in the vicinity of Manor Drive, Surbiton. On multiple occasions this Year, we have heard a very strange noise. It has happened in the evening, between 10pm and 3am, lasts for several minutes and can only be described as deeply disturbing. The noise does not sound human, it sounds like a large animal, wandering the streets, howling in pain moving from North to South along Manor Drive. This sound is not a Fox or any other UK domestic or wild animal. Its hard to believe that this sound could be created by a Human, it is so erratic and incoherent and, to be honest, scary.
The next Kingston NO2ID meeting will be on the 6th of October at the Druids head at 6.30pm.
NO2ID is a campaigning organisation. We are a single-issue group focussed on the threat to liberty and privacy posed by the rapid growth of the database state, of which "ID cards" are the most visible part. We are entirely independent. We do not endorse any party, nor campaign on any other topic.
Does anyone know what's going on with the barriers are Surbiton station? Everyday it's a different set up, one minute they are there, the next the aren't?? Really hoping it's for Oyster pas as you go!
Also I have a monthly season ticket between Wimbledon & Surbiton. The other week I went to Kingston on the train from Wimbledon and my season ticket let me through the barrier. Anyone know why? Is the legitimate? Been trying to fathom it out by looking at the National Routeing Guide (sad I know) but if this is permitted it will save me loads of money!
No comments for over a week? What about the new plans to rid the station forecourt of taxis and create a town square? There must be a few irate cabbies out there with some views. Or the plan to create a ski run down St Marks Hill? How about another new opticians opening up in the town centre, or the upcoming Farmers Market on Maple Road? Perhaps we need the green crusties to return to Raven's Ait to get people going?
