Last week I had a truely fabulous meal out in the Surbiton Thai.
It's incorporated inside the Saucy Kettle, but its sort of sectioned off half the bar area.
The service was excellent, the nosh was freshly cooked and the ingrediants superb. I am not an expert on Thai food but what came out of the kitchen that eve was outstanding. The portions are generous and prices very fair. They'll also bring over drinks from the bar with no mark-up too.
Highly recommended!!

It is often the way with the Thai places based in pubs. The Norbiton & Dragon does some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted and the Cocoanut is excellent too if you like you food very spicy.
I think the people behind the Saucy Kettle venture are opening a standalone restaurant on St James Road soon so it is good to hear the food is nice.
It will make a nice change from the Indian/Italian places that are nice but seem to dominate in Surbiton.
The Thai opening on St. james's Road is not connected with the Thai food in the Saucy.
They used to run the concession in there, but it is someone else now.
