A health centre in Surbiton has opened its doors of a weekend to help those in need of urgent health care.
Surbiton Health Centre is now providing appointments to residents on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 2pm as part of an initiative by the NHS Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The service, which will soon extend untill 8pm, is estimated to have so far helped about 213 patients since opening four weeks ago. Kingston MP James Berry visited the centre at the weekend.
NHS Kingston CCG are currently exploring the idea of creating “local hubs” in different parts of the borough to extend the service.
