Landlubbers will be taking over Surbiton as the Lamb pub’s annual giant games take on a nautical theme.
A life-sized set of pop-up pirates, which has taken the pub’s team five weeks to build, will be the focal point at the community event in aid of two charities.
This is the fifth year of the giant games, which are unveiled annually before being taken on tour to festivals around the country throughout the year. The pop-up pirate game will visit the Blissfields festival on the first leg of its tour.
Guests are invited to dress up as pirates, with a prize being awarded for the best costume. At past events the team have unveiled a giant mouse trap, buckaroo, hungry hippos, and Kerplunk, most of which were featured at the Kingston May Merrie this year.
The event will be raising money partly for Creative Youth and partly for a charity that will be chosen on the day. The event will take place on June 15 and 16, between 12 and 6pm at the Lamb Pub, on Brighton Road, Surbiton.
