73 Brighton Road
Passers by couldn't believe their eyes on Saturday as revellers paraded through the streets of Surbiton scattering talcum powder.
It was of course the return of madcap community group, Homage de Fromage, a group of regular drinkers at The Lamb pub, in Brighton Road, who over the past few years have created a series of wacky events.
The group, whose aim is to bring the community together through extreme daftness, have created a mythical history of Surbiton along the way which includes the tale of goat boy Lefi Ganderson - now their mascot - and the 'ancient ceremony of the scattering of the talcum'.
At the weekend, after a few months away, the group returned for the second annual 'ancient ceremony'.
Local musicians and singers came together to perform as they marched up and down Brighton Road.
In the past the group has organised giant versions of board games such as Buckaroo and Hungry Hippos, as well as truly unique events such as a bread golf open, skiing on ice blocks and a community sports day.
