A dog and her owner were joyously reunited after a Kingston borough-wide social media campaign tracked the runaway pet across the borough for a week.
Kerrie-Anne Ford, 38, of Fulham Road, Fulham, left her miniature pinscher Paris with her boyfriend Jiles Aldridge while he worked at Harts Boatyard in Surbiton on December 2.
When Paris unexpectedly darted into the distance, her owner took to social media sites Facebook and Doglost to try and find her, galvanising pet detectives across Kingston into action.
Paris roamed the streets of the borough for a week, as Kingston residents updated her owner with texts and messages of sightings. Bruce Bovill, 68, of South Terrace, Surbiton, was one of those residents following Paris’ journey and saw her himself.
In a twist, it was Mr Aldridge who found Paris, near a bin outside Jamie’s Italian restaurant in Kingston High Street.
