Hungry Hippos is the latest board game to be given a makeover by wacky Surbiton based community group Homage de Fromage.
On Sunday afternoon, more than 100 residents took part in a giant version of the game, which was held in the back garden of The Lamb pub, in Brighton Road.
Members from the madcap group, which is made up of drinkers from The Lamb, built four large hippos and organised a tournament to raise money for the Braintrust, the charity supporting people living with a brain tumour, and Creative Youth, organisers of the International Youth Arts Festival.
More than £2,300 was raised from the afternoon, which was attended by comedian Jarred Christmas.
This is the third year in a row that the group have built a large version of a classic board game, after Mousetrap in 2009 and Buckaroo in 2010.
Homage de Fromage raise money for local charities and over the years have created a mythical history of Surbiton, including the tale of goat boy Lefi Ganderson, who has become their mascot.
