It's almost that time of year again, when people strap ice blocks to their feet and hurl themselves down a hill in Surbiton to raise money for charity.
On Sunday, October 16, the third annual Surbiton Ski Sunday will take place on St Mark's Hill.
In the past two years nearly 100 people have taken part in the unique event to raise money for the Hampton based Shooting Star Children's Hospice.
The premise is simple, skiers - wearing helmets and safety pads - strap ice blocks to their feet and try to complete the 21 metre course in as quick a time as possible.
Last year's winner Jack Dimes completed the run in an impressive 10.66 seconds.
The event is organised by the mad cap community group Homage de Fromage.
Made up of regular drinkers at The Lamb, in Brighton Road, the group aim to try and bring the community together through extreme daftness.
The event will be followed by The King's Soup, a family soup making event, held in Jewson's Yard, off Brighton Road.
