Hot camera action in Surbiton

Cameras appear around Surbiton.

Much interest around mini cameras put up in Surbiton .. (well, a plumber mentioned them to me, so that qualifies as much . .).

There are at least 10 mini cameras around the high street, some on St Mark's Hill, St James Road, Victoria Road etc.

The men in the van were changing the batteries and confirmed it is traffic monitoring. There may have been a suggestion the council may be considering red routing the area ...

Anyway, a little boring, but topical at least ...

I don't think local council's make decisions about red-routes anyway.
They tend to be on A-roads which are out of local government control.

I wouldn't worry, I think I have put two + two together when I read this earlier story ...

They're probably just deciding which side of the road to close.

Brilliant news if Red Route rumour is correct, much more use should be made of this facility in Surbiton and Tolworth.

It would improve visibility for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists by removing parked vehicles and speed up traffic.Just whats required around here before the whole place stagnates and businesses all move away.
