The Royal Mail expresses it's apologies over sudden closure of The Broadway post office the other day.
A spokesperson said the they are looking for an alternative arrangement and that, "We apologise to customers. We are endeavouring to reopen a branch in the area as soon as possible and would like to hear for applicants for the role of subpostmaster with suitable premises."
In the mean time, alternative post offices can be found in Red Lion Road, Alexandra Drive and Hook Rise South.

At the end of the consultation period, ruralnet|uk undertakes to summarise objectively all the comments received, and feed them into the Government’s consultation procedure. Admittedly, if you know where to look there are a few fields on Tolworth, but it's a bit of a stretch to describe it as rural.
It sounds like a good cause, but I don't think it's relavent in this case. As I understand it, the post office was closed suddenly due to some problem with the subpostmaster, and they intend to reopen one in a similar location as soon as they can.
