RichardBerry Easter weekend train disruption.
Mainline services will be diverted between Woking and Clapham Junction, a reduced service will operate on most mainline routes to and from London Waterloo on Friday, Saturday and Monday.
South West Trains says, "Clapham Junction is a vital and busy part of the network and while this means that more passengers will experience these benefits, we would also advise people to check their plans prior to traveling."

This is getting out of hand. I know that Surbiton is a commuter station, so the Monday-Friday services are a priority, but it would be nice to be able to get a train to London occasionally on the weekend.
For the last four weeks, the only way to get to London has been by rail-replacement bus. This would not be so bad, but the ones we get leave Surbiton, and stop at Berrylands, New Malden etc etc. This means it takes at least 40 minutes to get to Wimbledon, where you then get another (slow) train to Waterloo. Sometimes Wimbledon is closed as well, so you have to get a bus all the way to Waterloo, stopping at 10 stations 'on the way'. This is an unacceptable amount of time to travel 10 miles.
It would not be too bad if this happened once a month, but at the moment it is all weekend, every weekend.
Slightly unrelated, but SWT have now announced a strike as well, commencing 31st March.
Apparantly, this is because the drivers are refusing to accept a 4.5% pay rise to £40k per year!!! Does anyone else find this a very high sum of money to be paid for a low skill, low stress job?
yeah - it is a ruddy joke - Surbiton commuters are walked all over because of affluence and the 'quite life' mentality of our lovely town.
I agree it is completely unnacceptable for the station to be out of action all weekend. i pay a lot for my weekly ticket - i dont always got to london to work.
make it zone 5.
