Surbiton Festival: R.N.L.I. Rally

The RNLI Rally takes place along Queen’s Promenade has become part of the Surbiton Festival’s annual programme. This two-day event is very popular with boats, music, stalls and a whole host of activities taking place alongside Surbiton’s beautiful stretch of the River Thames.

For all those who missed Saturday's Surbiton Festival, Surbiton.com have now added an events calendar.

The calendar should give you plenty of warning of any upcoming activities. Registered users can submit their own events for inclusion using the online form.

Surbiton Festival 2006

This year's festival will be opened by His Worshipfulness the Mayor on Saturday 30th September.

There'll be the usual street market and parade in Victoria Road. Keep an eye out for the Surbiton.com stand, float and marching troop.

Good Festival despite traffic chaos

Festival chairman claims addition of 800-tonne crane 'added to the atmosphere of the festival'.

As predicted, engineering works on the St. Mark's hill railway bridge coupled with this year's Surbiton Festival caused major disruption to the area last weekend.

Though the junction was closed again this week for scheduled follow-up work, the project has been considered a success; positioning six thirty-metre beams across the railway in preparation for the project's spring completion.
