Surbiton's new Tory opposition

The Conservatives choose their new parliamentary candidate for Kingston and Surbiton.

Liberal Democrats hold Kingston

Though the Conservatives had overall gains on the last elections, they suffered more losses in the Surbiton neighbourhood.

BERRY, GEORGE and HUDSON were duly elected Councillors for Alexandra Ward:

Edward Davy holds Kingston and Surbiton

The Liberal Democrat party held it's seat with 51% of votes.

They won with a majority of 8,966, though there was a 7% swing to the Conservatives compared to the 2001 election. Labour gained 4.4%.
