Surbiton Book Club – New Members
We are a small, friendly, local book club, looking for new members. We usually meet towards the end of the month, in the Lamb pub, for a glass of wine / beer and a chat. We’ve read a variety of books, including by authors Dave Eggers, Stephen Fry, William Golding, Primo Levi and Ken Kesey.

Live: Year 11 pupils receive their GCSE results

Year 11 pupils nervously awaited their GCSE results this morning. Leading up to results day, Ofqual had predicted increased "volatility" in grades due to government syllabus shake-ups.

Tolworth Girls' School has sent in its results, showing steady improvement.

Its proportion of A* grades has risen from six to 7.2 per cent, with A and B grades also rising. High-flyers included Rebecca Corbett, who achieved a staggering 11 A* grades and an A.
