The French Table take on F Word opponents on Tuesday.
A team of Surbiton cooks is all set to put on a TV culinary masterclass before celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.
Gourmet chefs from The French Table, Maple Road, will go head to head with cooks from another French-themed restaurant in the new series of Channel 4's Gordon Ramsey's F Word.
Tuesday night's show will see the chefs cooking for 50 invited guests. Diners will then tell the chefs whether or not they would be prepared to pay for the dishes – as foul-mouthed favourite Gordon looks on.
The French Table's opponents will be Hexham-based restaurant Bouchon Bistro, who are equally well respected in Newcastle.
The chefs will be able to cook the main courses of their choice, but Gordon Ramsey will select a starter and dessert.

Who won? What happened?
They lost the final - the desert didn't turn out as good as it was meant to be.
Still, being the second best French neighbourhood restaurant in the whole of the UK is hardly losing is it?
Noteworthy that the Guardian's food critic was signing the French Table's praises yesterday:
See http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/jan/02/french-table-surbiton... for a superb review.
Bit gritty was it?
Come on French Table Team!!!
Do not bother what Gordon will F... About...!
