Surbiton mental health patient is jailed after setting alight to adult magazine in airliner.

David Mason, from Langley Avenue was discovered attempting to start a fire under his seat after being offended by the contents of his pornographic magazine. Cabin crew of the flight from Norway to Gatwick, first became alerted to his strange behaviour after denying him permission to his request to incinerate some paper in the galley oven.

Since this story was published, Mason has been given a two-year conditional dischage and ordered to pay £263 at a hearing at Hove Crown Court.
