I am looking to start a informal/relaxed book club to meet up in Surbiton, late January early Feb. Meeting up in the evening to enjoy a good read & a tipple... If you fancy it please get in touch. I will use the library scheme initially so no cost associated with this group, other than your bar bill!!

Beware the young men knocking on your door with a back pack. They say they are on probation, just out of prison, and taking part in a Scheme. They want to sell you something. The police say there is no such scheme. Just check before you open the door, they can be quite aggressive if you dont buy.

I have just read an article about Surbiton Crescent's closure to cars. Does this mean cars cannot enter Surbiton Crescent from Maple Road, to enter Palace Road? It doesnt seem very clear, I dont want to get a fine!

Just a quick note to recommend a fantastic new cafe that has opened on the Brighton Road by the railway bridge, in what used to be the Saucy Kettle.

I've now been in a few times in the first week it has been open and it is everything the chains in the high street are not - friendly, welcoming, outstanding service and coffee to die for - the best coffee I have ever tasted in London and I've tried most of them, even better than Monmouth.

My block of flats was recently buzzed by vagrants trying to get in to sleep in the warm hallway. I could see them outside. Luckily no one let them in. Surbitonians.. Please do not let anyone in from the outside comminication system f you do not know who they are.

At Surbiton Health Centre., a TWO WEEK wait for a blood test!! Wht is happening here? So now we have to go to Kingston Hospital and wait in the queue...

Tomorrow is one of the biggest days in Kingston's a thousand year old history.

Tomorrow evening, our Councillors, led by Tory Kevin Davis, will decide if Kingston is to become part of a high rise CIty in the West with ten or more Opportunity Areas for mass, high rise development throughout the Borough. The council's apporach has been secretive and is almost certainly unconstitutional.

What can we do?

Do I have to get a ticket (i.e. Pay) before I get my 30 minutes free parking on certain roads in Surbiton.
Or do I just park and walk away. I put enough money in the meter in Brighton Road this week for an hour, but didnt get an extra free half hour, so how does it work? Thanks all.

I know this is a Surbiton forum, but I can't find one online as good for New Malden so decided to post here. So does anyone know of a good hairdresser, mainly for a good trendy cut, in NM High Street? I know Koreans are good at hair, but which to choose? I give up with Surbiton hairdressers. Thanks in advance.
