Hi Fellow Surbitonions!

I take my girls to the gymboree at Nuffield and everytime I walk through I think about membership to the gym.

My husband and I would both like to join and also use the pool and crèche with our girls. So what I would like to ask is -

1) what is the price for a current joint membership and family membership? What does a family membership involve? Is it worth it?

2) how much do the crèche charge?

3) can you use pool with your children if you only have a joint membership abd pay an extra fee for the children?

All experienced players wanted to strengthen our football club for the forthcoming 2011/12 season. Training starts mid July. Season starts mid Sept and we play Saturdays.

Has anyone in the Long Ditton / St Marys Road area seen the mature crow that is gradually losing all its feathers ? It is still eating and flying well, but I wonder what will happen to him. Such a shame. It doesn't seem to be affecting any of the other birds so I am wondering what has caused it.

Wandered down St. Leonard's Road on Saturday 18th and noticed the parking bay suspension notices for 'filming' on 20th June. Has anyone got any idea what the filming is for/about?

Dear everybody,

For the second time during the last six years I have attempted to make contact with old Surbitonians and people in the surrounding areas and to share with everybody my wonderful memories of growing up there between the 1940s and 1960s.
Sadly it has not been possible without someone bringing up the tragic subject of my eldest brother who may have been a brilliant actor but whose troublesome personal life is best kept under wraps for the sake of others. Regrettably I must withdraw from making any further contribution to this website.

Is there anyone still residing in the Surbiton area (or anywhere else) who attended St. Andrews Primary school in St. Andrews Road during 1955 in the class of the wonderful caring Welsh schoolteacher Mrs. Durant. Most class members would have gone to Hollyfield Road but unfortunately I did not.

Felt slightly guilty spending money in another mass commercial chain when there are some great independent restaurants in Surbiton (Da Lucio's is a personal favourite), but wanted to see if it was worth all the business it seems to be getting!
