Hi all. My grandad has some hand painted postcards that he's trying to identify. One is identified as Richmond on it, not sure about the others but they seem to be by the same person so maybe in the same area. Based on the backing he thinks they may predate 1902 as before then you couldn't write messages on postcards I think. The church looks quite distinctive so maybe someone will recognise it!

i took my engagement ring into the jewellers in surbiton fp turner on victoria road. They were so unprofessional & ruined my ring.they admitted they have done this before! they repaid me for the damage which they caused & i took it else where. do not take your jewellery there!!!

Looking at their website, they appear to be a chain of french style bistros.

If so, a bit of a duff choice. Not an attractive building at all.

The fine interior of L'Esperance building on the Ewell Road beats it for ambiance hands down.
Unless this new crowd are looking to take over the L'Esperance building.

Has Ewell Road been suddenly renamed Warren Drive North?

According to Google Maps it has. I had a very weird driving experience when my Google Maps-driven sat nav started telling me drive along Warren Drive North, a road I've always known as "Ewell Road".

Ewell Road itself seems to have moved to Long Ditton!

Sadly, there has been yet another suicide on the railway this afternoon, this time at New Malden station. The station was totally closed for a while, but has now re-opened.

For reasons best known to themselves, SWT are using this incident as a reason to delay all services by up to 90 minutes right up until the last train tonight. Probably best to find another way home if possible.

For those that have the time, it is probably worth writing a quick complaint email to SW Trains to question why their service takes so long to recover from incidents like this.
