pubs with extended licensing hours in Surbiton

I can't find a list of pubs which have sucessfully applied for extended opening hours on the Kingston borough website. I think it would be useful to have a thread on here about it where people can post which pubs are open late and what time they shut for all you 'binge drinkers' out there.

I'll start:

The Maypole opens until 1.30am at weekends

Are racist comments welcome on the Surbiton.com web site?

Woman attacked by gang in Victoria Road

A group of ten repeatedly punched and kicked the 45-year old after leaving the Saucy Kettle pub.

Police believe they will find the assailants using CCTV footage they have. Detective Sergeant Simon Harding of the Metropolitan Police is calling for witnesses to help identify the group of youths, aged between 15 and 17 and said to be both black and white.

Anyone with information to do with the incident should call 020 8247 4945.

Train driver error ruled out for Surbiton near miss

Black box analysis reveals driver and signalman acted promptly to unknown safety failure.

An early morning commute nearly ended in disaster as a potential major collision was averted on November 25. Exasperated by bad weather, an as yet unknown technical fault meant that the 5.44 from Alton to Waterloo skidded through two red signals before coming to rest less than 300 metres from another train. A high-level enquiry into the incident is now underway.

The evening of the same day, severe delays for homeward commuters was caused by an earlier suicide at Hampton Court Junction.

What's Surbiton like now?

I was at Kingston Poly twenty years ago and I lived at Clayhill in Surbiton.

I loved it! I would like to return to Surbiton when I finish my new degree in a few years time.

What's Surbiton like now? There seemed to be a bit more litter on the streets when I visited in in Jan 2004.
A lot more crime too! You could wander around at night without getting hurt twenty years ago.

Hospital closure edges nearer

Despite the massive petition delivered to the House of Commons last month, patients are being relocated next week with staff unsure of their futures.

Most of the Surbiton Hospital patients will be moved to Tolworth Hospital with a few being transferred to Hobkirk House in New Malden. Many nurses are still waiting to be informed of where they will be reposted to and a hospital porter is to be made redundant.

'Irregular' Ordinations at Berrylands' Christ Church

Local clergy fly in a South African bishop to ordain gay deacons.

Earlier this month an ordination was conducted in defiance of the Diocese of Southwark's bishop Rt Rev Dr Tom Butler.

On November 2nd, Revd Richard Coekin unofficially ordained his staff in defiance of the local Bishop's wishes, resulting in the revoking of his license. The ordinations are thought to be backed by an evangelical network called Reform, that are know to protest against bishops stance on gay and lesbian people.

tree in southbank rd

A couple of weeks ago a mature tree was chopped down in southbank rd (the one leading down the hill to the back of surbiton station). It stood outside Beauclere House - actually a block of flats. It was on your right about half way down the hill - at one end of a street flowerbed.
The council say it was a sycamore but from my recollection it was an oak.

Can anyone help on the id?
