I have been issued with an anti-stab vest like many other public sector workers. I've also heard that even traffic wardens have been given them in Surbiton. I never thought things would get this bad in my home town!
Hey there!
My fiance and I will be moving to Surbiton in two weeks time where we start our new jobs as teachers in the autumn. We're pretty excited about the move (we're coming all the way down from Northampton!) and in the meantime we would really like to become familiar with the place and the people etc. I am quite up for a little summer job just to keep the pennies rolling in but don't really know where to start! Any tips/advice would be much welcomed!
Chat soon,
Tess :)
Having made the Ewell Road a congested, obstructed route into Surbiton and Kingston,TFL have decided to make the KCR Bridge a single lane and thus make everyone who wants to turn left for Surbiton centre wait behind those turning right or going straight on.
From 14th July this nonsense will start as an experiment and if it causes huge jams it will,no doubt ,be made permanent.Does no one employed in the TFL drive? Or are they all "bikes and boots"?
I am constantly having my private parking space used by inconsiderate visitors to the area. Some of them refuse to move despite being asked. Anyone else have this problem?
The local Churches are holding a Church service outdoors in Fishponds Park, Ewell Road, Surbiton, KT5 8ST
During the service young people and adults will talk about what their faith means to them and why they believe.
There will be dance and drama performances, music and a speaker who will explain the Christian faith. At the end of the service people are welcome to stay longer for opportunities to ask questions/find out more about the Christian Faith.
Bus routes that pass the Fishponds site are 281, 406, and 418
