Surbiton Hill Park (Surbuton end)

Hello

My partner and I are relocating to Surrey through work and have settled on Surbiton due to the fast line to Waterloo and the buzz of Kingston within walking distance.

We are viewing a flat on the above street next week which from its rightmove description looks PERFECT!

However Most of what we know of the area is based on Google street view!

In summary, is it any good? Would people recommend?

WW1 Battlefield Trek - Just 2 places left...

If you’ve been moved by the coverage the WW1 centenary and centenary events; why not consider signing up for The Royal Star and Garter Homes’ Battlefield Trek.

We have just two places left, on what promises to be an incredibly poignant event. The three-day sponsored trek takes place in September 2014, walking through Northern France and Belgium. It is a physical challenge and also provides participants with a unique perspective of prominent battle-sites of the Ypres Salient, often tracing the line of the Western Front itself.

Missing Cat

Hi - our cat Garfield went missing yesterday (Thursday 19th June). He was last seen being chased by two foxes behind the gardens of Brighton Road and Surbiton Court. He is a big (long) ginger cat with white face, white tummy and a bit of a saggy belly. He also has white legs/feet. He's also got quite a voice on him. He's chipped but doesn't wear a collar. If anyone's seen him please get in contact.

Increase in recent plane noise

I'm aware of the potential threat of increased aircraft activity to the area if Heathrow expands as one of the potential flight paths could affect what has up till now been a relatively peaceful place to live. However, very recently we've noticed a significant increase in plane noise over Surbiton and just wondered if anyone knew why? Are they testing residents to see how and if we'll react and therefore offer resistance? Or am I the only one that's noticed it of late...
