Have I been witness to it by coincidence over the last week or has traffic on the A3 at the Tolworth Junction worsened noticeably since the Greenway "improvements"? I know that there have been lane closures on the roundabout in recent weeks but the congestion that I continue to observe is not a result of closures.

I would normally enter the A3 from Princes Avenue however every time I look onto it from Cranborne Avenue there is a queue on the slip road so I turn left instead.

More pollution for the residents of Tolworth!

Please don't give any money to the beggar with dogs near HSBC (close to the Surbiton station). It might feel like a right thing to do, but it isn't. You're just supporting his lifestyle and the congestion and danger that he creates.

Hi All

Me and my girlfriend currently rent in surbiton, but are looking to buy in the near future. We'd like to stay in the area but Tolworth is more in our budget for a house. We've seen a few properties on fullers way north recently and was just wondering if any one had any opinions on the road and that area - good or bad. I know it has a secondary school on the road and I read on a 2 year old forum (on here) that there was concern about the expansion of the travellers site in swallow park but that seems to have disappeared.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

We are trying to find out about a man who was PROBABLY named George Streatfield, who was local to Surbiton/Tolworth/Kingston in the early 1930s. He may also have been Frederick.

I have recently returned from a rather lenghy stay in Madrid. Justifiably voted the noisiest city in Europe.
Well, has anyone walked down Surbo High St (Victoria Rd) recently, and just stood still for a a minute and simply 'listened' to the ambiant NOISE?
It's well up there as a contender with Madrid!
The noise is tremendous - traffic mainly, roaring of souped up cars/bikes, bikes revving, brash school kids yelling, terrible pollution-pumping roaring busses, jack hammers in the new plaza, taxis , horms blaring, statioin cars midnite football matches.....

I have just recently taken early retirement and moved to Surbiton. I am still interested in life, bright, funny and like to socialise. My question is this: where are all the other aged 50+ men and women in this area who are free during the day and would like to get out and meet others in a similar position?

Has anyone noticed people graffitiing at the park on Balaclava road? I really want to fins who they are and permanently spray paint their faces

Had a bit of a panic the other day my american fridge has being on the blink for a while now had a few companies out in the past told me the usual that i had a problem and that they were'nt qualified to regas or some other bull left it for a while until thursday when the bloody thing stoped working started phoning round spoke to the usual suspects until i came across a company www.agsrefrigeration.co.uk spoke to a guy over the phone well he pretty well describe my fridge inside out anyway he came out the following day and behold he actually fix the damm thing to say the least i was impressed n

I live in Glenbuck Rd, behind the station.
Normally it is very, very quiet, especially early Saterday and Sundays.
Very peaceful.

Lately though the silence is being broken by a background humm that seems to go on 24x7. I can only describe it as a of white noise and quite low frequency.
It might be cominmg from the station by cannot be sure. Have you noticed this?

Anyone know where it is coming from and what it could be?
