Bentleys club and Sunday night disco at the Southborough Pub

Back in the early 70's when I drove my trusty Triumph Herald done the A3 to Weybridge to go to Brooklands Technical College i would pass the Ace of Spades rounderbout and see a club called Bentleys on the north eastern side. I think Bentleys is now the Bath Shop and is next to the golf centre. I vaguely remember going there once when all you wanted was a late drink and the chance of a dance with perhaps a wicker basket of Scampi and Chips thrown in to round the evening off Anyone rember Bentleys?? I also used to go to the Sunday night disco at the Southborough Arms Pub in the early 80's.

Bookbinding or Craft clubs in Surbiton

Hi,

I've recently put a few ads in the Classifieds section - one of which is a whole lot of bookbinding and craft materials.

Many of the things are unused and I bought most of them last year or earlier this year. They would be a really cheap alternative
for anyone who is interested in doing some bookbinding or other crafts. Proper bookbinding adhesive, thread, headbands etc..

Anyway, I don't want to advertise here, since it is a forum. So if you are a club organiser or individual and would be interested, you

Local bakery that might supply bread for wedding reception this August

My sister is getting married in Surbiton on 25 August 2012 and I am looking to order a substantial amount of fresh bread for the reception. I would prefer not to do this via one of the supermarkets and would prefer to use a local supplier, but we have a shoe-string budget, can anyone recommend a local bakery that might cut us a brilliant deal? (We would be happy to have any promotional cards/leaflets that promote the bakery on our buffet tables etc).

Thanks,

Rea

Gym

Hi all, what's the best gym in Surbiton in your opinion? Does anyone train regularly?

Any opinions would be appreciated, and if you could let me know what you're paying per visit/week/month/year it would be useful. Always good to have something to beat the sales reps down with ;)

Thanks in advance!

Building Works along A3

Not sure if this would come under 'Surbiton' but does anyone know what is being built along the A3 after the Roses Nursery at Long Ditton and before the Cap in Hand?? I have heard it is a gypsy site ... on those beautiful green fields.

Estate Agents Signs - Fed up of signs littering your street? Having trouble getting them removed?

In an area like Surbiton, with a high number of flats to let & being sold, there are always Estate Agents signs on display in certain streets.

Legally, "Let By" and "Sold" signs can only be displayed for around 2 weeks. This is a time frame rarely kept to by Surbitons Estate Agents.

We have seen examples of "Let By" signs being in place for 3 months and "To Let" signs being illegally placed outside properties Agents are not marketing. These signs can be an eyesore, making streets look uncared for.
