Hello,
Can any one recommend a local independent financial advisor?
Thanks!
Hi, can anyone recommend a good company/builder for a loft extension. There are so many of them on the market! Thanks
Has anyone else noticed that almost every road has white vans, scaffolders, delivery wagons full of concrete, bricks, hard core etc?
It seems that every 2 bed is becoming 3 or 4,every 3 bed 4 or 5 and every 4 bed 5 or 6,bolt on conservatories, loft extensions, rear garden new builds and older houses being demolished for flats or "cheek by jowl" chav palaces. When will it all stop the population must be soaring, the schools are already wholly inadequate, the road system is farcical, just try driving down the Ewell road either to or from the A3.
This must be a common issue for residents of Surbiton, as there are so many flats in the area. We bought a victorian converted apartment in Surbiton last year and had no idea just how bad the noise insulation would be from neighbours footfall, TV, washing machine, neighbours voices etc etc. We are considering to add a suspended ceiling can anyone advise if they've had this done and if it was effective? Also can anyone recommend a company / tradesmen to do the work?
Thanks for the help!!!
I stumbled across this rather impenetrable site. Not intuitive for the luddite, and obviously designed by supergeek.
However, what got my attention was the mention of St Andrews School, and the period of the 1950's.
I thought that I was the only person who could remember Mrs Durant, evidently not.
She was a very kind and great teacher ( I now realise), who inadvertantly started me on the road to the Arts and Crafts, which I have been involved in all my life, and still am.
It would be nice to share other memories of the School, its teachers and pupils, during the 1950's.
My black and white cat has been missing since yesterday morning (25/10/2012) from the Manor Drive area of Surbiton. A neighbour said that a cat was hit by a car outside Christ Church primary school on Manor Drive on the same day and the school confirmed that they phoned the council. The council says that they came to the street but couldn't find the cat. The police also has no record, nor do any local vets. I can't be sure that the cat found at the school is mine so can anyone who knows anything about the cat found or has perhaps seen a black and white male cat in the area let me know?
Does anybody know what all the street markings are in Tolworth high street? Is this the beginning of the re-development project? Hope so!
The lady in the post office told me it was aliens but I'm unsure. :D
Hello all,
anybody interested in a few days work stripping wallpaper on walls and ceilings? Or perhaps you know a local labourer/painter & decorator who might be interested?
thanks,
Liam
I'm due my first MOT on my car and have never used a garage in Surbiton. Can anyone recommend one that is good, reliable and honest?!
If you live in central Surbiton you might have received a booklet entitled 'The Truth About Drugs' hidden between the leaflets for pizza takaways and dodgy decorators. It all seems very commendable until you see that it has been produced by a Californian outfit called the Foundation for a Drug-Free World. Just know that they are financed by the Church of Scientology.
