Does Surbiton have any fitness centres, other than Cannons? I am looking for a place with a swimming pool, spinning and yoga classes.

Would rather go with a private individual but obviously would like a few recommendations if letting somebody into the house.

I have lived in Surbiton for nearly 30 years. In 2005 I moved into a housing association property in Victoria Avenue. What I wasn't told before I move in was that I would be under the local 'hell hole' of loud music, drunks, shouting at the back of the house in the middle of the night, and more 999 calls than I can say.

Has anybody else seen that new fence they've put up at Hollyfield school?
Its a damn ugly brute - must be 10 foot high at least, with thick metal bars.
Its a complete eyesore and makes the area look like a young offenders centre.

Do they not need to get planning permission to put fences over six foot tall?
If so, there's no sign of any application on the Council website.
