Improvisation Course for People in Business

Hi everyone - just wanted to tell you about a great new course in Surbiton. :)

Improvisation Course for People in Business
Improvisation is creating value offhand with whatever is to hand.
Why improvisation?
Life is unpredictable. So is the subset of life called ‘business’. No matter how well we plan, the unexpected happens. People improvise all the time, and the quality of a person’s improvisation skills can be improved with structured and engaging practice. Businesses in the UK, Europe, and the USA use improvisation training to create new products and services, to open up new markets, and to improve client and staff relations.

Eastern European Builders

In the last two years there have been a lot of complaints about dodgy Eastern Europeans who offer their services to Surbiton residents for building work at cheap rates but provide a shoddy service.

A number of people have been left out of pocket and left with half-finished rooms, conservatories, garages etc whilst the culprits disappear and lie low in their own countries.

A safe way to find a good tradesman is on the following websites:

7th July Remembered.

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the muslim terrorist atrocities in London. There will be memorial services in churches across Surbiton.

I hope my fellow English men and women will join me in paying their respects to those innocent victims.

Music

I'm fairly new to Surbiton and would be interested if anyone can share information about the local music scene. Does anyone know of nearby rehearsal rooms for bands? Are there any quirky places that can be used as venues? Also if there are any musicians/music fans who like strange sounds, collecting obscure records or playing the tambourine, feel free to get in touch!

Primary Schools

We have just moved to Surbiton and our daughter is almost 3, so we need to choose a primary school.

Does anyone have any advice or experiences they wish to share? The closest school to where we live is Christchurch. Is that a good school?

Thanks for any information.

Those Crazy Lib Dems !

Just weeks after achieving the highest council tax in London, Kingston’s Lib Dem Administration is advertising yet another high paid ‘policy’ job.

The past year has already seen a total increase of over 400 non school staff, yet the Lib Dems are advertising for a ‘Policy and Strategy Manager’ in Children’s Services to be paid between £46k and £51k. With on-costs included, the total cost to the Council Tax payer of this one backroom policy job will be £68k !

The Strategy and Performance section, to which this job is headed, already has 35 staff. However, there are also numerous policy posts throughout council departments, which, according to the Council’s personnel department, are untraceable !

How long to Waterloo

How long are the fast trains taking to Waterloo now and can you get a seat between 8 and 9?

Thanks.

While I'm chatting, does Surbiton have any other forums less blighted by racist retards?

Help with family history

I am tracing my family history and have found out that my great great grandfather was born in Surbiton. On the birth certificate it says he was born in Chelsea Cottages in 1884. His name was Robert Butt. Does anyone know if the cottages are still there or where they would have been? Many thanks.
