Lets see some of that old traditional Christmas spirit back in town
Dear Webmaster
Like many other Surbiton residents, I turn to Surbiton.Com as a forum for information and intelligence on life in our home town. But depressingly often all I find is a stream of rants from ignorant racists.
Someone innocently enquires about the best restaurants. The reply? A twisted diatribe about Surbiton no longer being an 'English town'. Another person asks about safety. The response? A litany of rubbish about a 'black scourge'.
While I am totally for free speech, I am absolutely appalled by the sheer number of racist remarks.
Hello everyone
I moved to Surbiton a few weeks ago. I really love it there. My partner and I are so happy that we made the move.
I was just wondering if people had any suggestions of what they think are great things in Surbiton; so your fave restaurant or shop.
Also, since I hate nothing more than being let down, what places you think are worth avoiding!
Cheers,
Faith
Hearing that Ravens Ait has gone into administration with immediate effect.
Does anyone have any further info as many bookings made for Xmas and weddings etc.
I have heard that the council is planning to waste some of our crippling council tax on "consultants" to determine the viability or otherwise of turning Victoria Rd, into a one way road - an exercise predicated on a notion of road safety I believe. There is no “safety issue" as far as I am aware in Victoria Road. Cars go up and down it - there is parking available - and it is singularly easy to walk down and cross, now that there is a zebra crossing – evening the height of Saturday afternoon shopping.
The BNP membership list that was published online has lots of members that live in Surbiton!!
Who else has the list? Recognise anyone?
Hello good people of Cyber-Surbiton. i'm moving to the area in December and was wondering if anyone on here could tell me where the nearest swimming pool is. greatly appreciated. Cheers

We are looking for a reliable local cleaner for a couple of hours a week for our house in central Surbiton.
Can anyone recommend a cleaner or reasonably priced cleaning company or agency. Also do you have any advice on selecting cleaners for your home.
Thanks.
Lots of commotion at the train station currently, walking up it's already in my head that a train has hit another person. (Confirmed - reasons unknown as to why it's happened).
However, not a really a good idea to rubber neck whilst crossing the bridge. Trains do a lot of damage. :(
My thoughts are currently with the driver of the train, that's got to be quite a difficult experience.
These are becoming a curse, the KCR Bridge being a favourite misdirection for artics.
Now seen on the Ewell Road a Volvo(what else) with his and her satnavs mounted on windscreen plus a fold up map for added perusal whilst driving erratically along.
Heigh Ho.
